Cardiff Writing Squads

The English language Cardiff Writing Squad was one of the very first Squads and has been running for over a decade. Led by retired Head Teacher and School Inspector Glyn Scott, the Squad regularly undertakes exciting and stimulating projects, including visits to Flat Holm Island. Glyn can be contacted on scottglyn@hotmail.com

A brand new Welsh language Squad was set up in Cardiff in May 2009 and their first ever session was held by the new Bardd Plant Cymru (Children’s Poet Laureate) Twm Morys. The Squad members performed readings from their work during the Urdd Eisteddfod in Cardiff on the Glanfa stage in the Wales Millennium Centre. The Welsh Squad is run by Eurgain Dafydd, Head of the Welsh Department, Ysgol Plas Mawr and she can be contacted on ED@plasmawr.cardiff.sch.uk
