GWYNEDD

Gwynedd Writing Squads

The Gwynedd Squad has been going from strength to strength for a number of years. It is unique amongst the Squads as it works bilingually; the sessions alternate between Welsh and English.
The members are chosen every two years when they are in year five or six, and they will remain a member until the age of fifteen.

The Gwynedd Squad is led by Gwen Lasarus James, Literature Promotion Officer for Gwynedd Council. She can be contacted on GwenLasarus@gwynedd.gov.uk

Recent Activity:

August 2009:  Gwynedd Squad performed their work at the Literature Tent, National Eisteddfod after a series of two workshops with the poet Eurig Salisbury.

August 2009:  Poetry workshop with Penri Roberts, in response to the art work in Y Lle Celf (the Arts and Craft Pavilion), National Eisteddfod.

October 2009:  Workshop with Poet Laureate, Twm Morys at Galeri, Caernarfon in response to Cai Tomos’s dance project ‘Calon’.
